HOMEMADE CREAM CARAMEL

ingredients

  • milk 450ml
  • sugar 45g
  • vanilla essence
  • eggs 3
  • sugar 100g
  • water 60ml

method

  • Gently boil 100g of sugar with 60 ml of the water until it is golden in color
  • pouring the caramel mix into bowl and set aside
  • whisk eggs sugar and vanilla essence together
  • add warm milk into eggs mix and mix it
  • strain the custard into caramel base bowl
  • place bowl into a deep baking tray and fill the tray with hot water
  • bake in the oven at 180c for approximately 30 to 45 minutes until set
  • chill in the refrigerator
  • loosen edges of caramels and turn them out onto serving dishes
